Hi! My Name is Ieva!

I’m a matcha lover, a book collector (at least that’s what I call constantly adding new books to my already large TBR list), and a trained book coach and book editor.

My love for books started with Pippi Longstocking and the Harry Potter series, and has continued to grow over the years, but it was during the pandemic that I decided to finally follow my passion for helping authors craft their stories. I enrolled in Pace University’s Publishing graduate program in New York City. During the three years I spent in the program, I was lucky enough to learn from skilled professors and talented book editors, develop the skills needed to understand the storytelling process and story structure, and how to best assist authors during the drafting, writing, and editing stages.

I also obtained developmental editing and romance editing certifications outside of my program to further expand my skill set.

I specialize in developmental editing, but I also offer book coaching, line editing/copyediting, proofreading services, as well as outline critiques. I work primarily with fiction. I’m particularly excited about working with romance and fantasy titles. I am open to select non-fiction projects. Feel free to fill out the contact form and I will get in touch.

As an editor, my goal isn’t to point out mistakes on the page. It’s to work alongside you, highlight and celebrate your strengths, while also helping you tackle any problem areas that we come across.

Whether you are a seasoned author or you’re just starting out, I’m excited to lend a hand and help you make your book the best it can be!

some fun facts about me…

The author/editor relationship works best when it’s a partnership and I can’t wait to get to know you better! In the meantime, here are five fun facts about me:

  • I read the entire Harry Potter book series in two languages.

  • I was in an episode of “Pretty Little Liars” and ran multiple PLL fan accounts when the show was airing.

  • I’m fluent in Lithuanian and English, and can speak some Spanish.

  • I’m a big fan of the Hallmark Channel. The “big city girl falls for a handsome, wood-chopping guy from a small town that just so happens to be hosting a pie-baking competition” just doesn’t get old, no matter what anyone says.

  • New York City can be hectic and crazy, but I can’t imagine living anywhere else.
